Why I Like To Paint

"I paint because I'm trying to depict my love for this country. I'm not trying to prove I'm an artist. I never have, and never will, take an art class. What an instructor has to say is his or her own opinion, not mine. I paint standing up over my kitchen sink, trying to tell a story. Art, to me, is making things happen on a flat piece of paper. Perspective is one thing, telling a story is something else. These are my paintings; I hope you enjoy them."
